The overriding goal of U.N.I.T.Y’s Transitional Housing service component is to return our constituents to sustainable living.
U.N.I.T.Y comprehensive transitional housing programs will empower participants to facilitate unity, foster spirit, and encourage well-being. This ongoing series of interventions will offer creative expression, emotional relief, and spiritual manifestation through social interaction to inmates from different ethnic, educational, and social-economic backgrounds.
There has been an increasing understanding throughout the target populations to be served through this program component is an effective tool for therapy to assist participants in:
**Shifting housing participants to permanent housing placements
**Offering a housing for homeless families and individuals transitioning from prison/ jail, shelter, and other underserving entities
**Transgendered and Women leaving the sex-trade with criminal justice involvement – a partnership with the county court system
**Individuals living with PTSD/mental health conditions and /or, co-occurring substance use
U.N.I.T.Y comprehensive transitional housing program component will build and maintain close collaborative and working relationships with transitional community surrogates.
